Pudong Airport to Shanghai Disneyland

Shanghai Disney Resort is 25 km south-west of Pudong Airport, closer to the terminals than the city centre is. That makes a Disney day the obvious use of a long layover or the first day of a trip, and several hotels between the airport and the resort run free shuttles to both. Airport Link Line: one stop

The Airport Link Line from the Pudong Airport T1 and T2 station stops at Shanghai International Resort station, the first stop out, in a few minutes. The station serves the resort zone rather than the park gates, so finish the trip by taxi or by hotel shuttle; the Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai International Tourism and Resorts Zone collects guests by reservation. Metro: Line 2 to Line 11

The all-metro route is Line 2 from the airport to Longyang Road, then Line 11 to Shanghai Disney Resort station, its terminus, in about 90 minutes for under 10 yuan. It works with light luggage and no rush; Disney Resort station is a few minutes’ walk from the park entrance and the Disneytown shopping street.

Taxi and ride-hailing

A taxi from either terminal to the resort hotels or the Disneyland entrance takes about 25 to 30 minutes outside peak hours and costs roughly 80 to 120 yuan including tolls. DiDi is a good alternative with the fare shown up front. Park opening days start early; leave the airport by 7:30 am to be at the gate for rope drop.

Wyndham Shanghai Pudong: in Chuansha, 8 km from the airport and about 15 minutes from the resort, free shuttles to both, a playground and family rooms, and Metro Line 2 nearby.

The Qube Hotel Shanghai Pudong: also Chuansha, about 10 minutes from both the airport and Disneyland, with a free airport shuttle reserved a day ahead and a Disney shuttle listed by booking sites, an indoor pool and a children’s club.

The Novotel Shanghai Chuansha is 15 minutes from the resort by taxi with a free airport shuttle, and the Holiday Inn Express Shanghai PVG Zhuqiao is 10 km from the resort with the earliest airport shuttle at the airport.

Planning a Disney day on a layover
